It looks likely that Rove will be charged with perjury and obstruction of justice. Rove’s personal assistant, Susan Ralston, apparently lied to the Fitzgerald inquiry, was caught in her lie by investigators, was called back for further testimony, and fessed up that Rove had instructed her to not log the call from Time magazine reporter Mathew Cooper.
Additionally, Rove has “withheld crucial facts” from investigators on three occasions.
It couldn’t happen to a more deserving individual. I just hope Ralston is indicted as well.

Yeh! Lets play dominos. If they can corner Rove and if he will cave to protect his own hide, then maybe Cheney is next? What still must be determined is who is at the bottom - where did they ploy come from and who all did it pass through. If it can get to Bush and 06 changes things might we do another "I" thing?
Do you want to check your link on this story? Netscape claims it has double http, but even removing one of those does not produce a workable link for me.
NL
NL,
Thanks for the tip on the faulty link. It should be fixed now. As another Netscape user I salute you heartily. I wonder why, with all of the excitement about Foxfire which is very similar to Netscape, why not much is said about Netscape. I have tried Foxfire and find Netscape 7. superior, though I'm not too impressed with Netscape 8.
I think you are correct, the plan to smear Wilson came from Cheney. I have read reports that he was particularly upset with Wilson calling bull shit on the Niger uranium canard. He was, after all, the guy who asked the CIA to look into the matter. Of course, apparently, someone in the State Dept. was curious about it at about the same time.
It seems Fitzgerald is serious about unraveling the affair, but I guess we'll have to see. Wouldn't it be funny if Rove gets weak in the knees and starts chirping. Of course, there's always the pardon.
Thanks for following the blog and for your comments.
