I live in Virginia. We are second only to Texas in the number of executions. The Republican candidate for governor wanted to execute more people (and more quickly). The Democrat--who won--is on record as opposing the death penalty (he's Catholic), but promised to enforce it anyway.

And here I thought Florida was second. If you folks in Virginia would get serious and put forth some serious effort, I think you could overtake Texas and be number 1.
Seriously though, I have read a bit about your governor elect and am impressed. It looks like two good governors in a row. It’s too bad VA allows its governors to serve only one term. Is the one term thing a recent term limits innovation? I seem to remember that Wilder served more than one term, but I don’t follow VA politics closely.
