The Irony Escapes Cheney

Is Dick Cheney:

a) Stupid

b) Evil

c) Demented

d) Crazy

e) All of the above

President in Fact Cheney lectures the Russians.

Cheney, an opponent of the reforms of the Magna Carta 400 years ago, who has sanctioned torture, secret trials, and the return to a monarchy, lectures the Russians:

"In Russia today, opponents of reform are seeking to reverse the gains of the last decade,"

Cheney, who has overseen the illegal spying of USA advocacy groups ranging from religiously affiliated peace groups to animal rights groups, further lectures the Russians:

"from religion and the news media to advocacy groups and political parties, the government has unfairly and improperly restricted the rights of the people."

And Cheney, as USA Commander in Fact who advocated and orchestrated the conquering and attempted subjugation of Iraq (not to mention the attempted coup in Venezuela and kidnapping of the democratically elected president of and the coup in Haiti, instructs the Russians:

"And no one can justify actions that undermine the territorial integrity of a neighbor, or interfere with democratic movements."

Given the irony of his lecturing of the Russians apparently escapes him I am concluding that Cheney is stupid. But, when all the evidence is considered, I’m going with e) All of the above.

I think E encompasses the problem with Cheney.....more precisely he is a typical powerful paranoid human afraid of being a nobody.....of coarse a only stupid, evil...etc humans are capable of persueing such an irrational and narcisistic strategy for survival......actually i see this strategy used frequently....but it is very disturbing when they become heads of states......

Moonrocks says; "it is very disturbing when they become heads of states.."

Boy does that statement ring true! I think some people are unable to see the whole big picture. They view issues in narrow little pieces which if the world ran in such a way, their positions and actions might make more sense. Same with the war in Iraq; if your only view was the removal of Saddam, (or whatever reason?), and you can somehow just shut all the peripheral stuff out, then it can make sense.

I guess what I am saying is that I don't think Cheney is stupid - but rather that he thinks differently. That he misses the wider picture. (Like in quail hunting, haha). His arrogance and cold dark heart aside, he is a very dangerous man because he fails to see this big picture. Is he evil too? I think in a very dark way he is.
