Someone has placed a red flag into the hand of this statue of Al Benemer, I think his name is. I don't know what Al did to merit a statue, but I'll try to find out.A couple weeks ago, the day after the independence day bash downtown, I noticed someone had place a Sprite bottle in the out stretched hand of a statue of a former Veracruz governor nearby. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera.
